Very collectable and an exceptional find, this low original mile Kawasaki H2B benefitted from a partial restoration some time ago and has seen very limited use and careful storage since.
Purchased from a personal collection in Italy and imported by us into California in 2016.
Considered by many to be the best year for the H2, the 1974 model features a more tractable, but still awesome, motor and more stable handling than earlier models.
This particular bike shows beautifully in the rare metalflake candy green factory original color.
Overall condition is super clean, very original and in excellent running order. Minor weathering and aging only. Odometer shows just under 16K original kilometers (10,158 miles)and the bike is basically stock.
Well maintained from new and currently in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition.
Partially restored in 2005 keeping the paintwork all original, stored indoors since then.
The motor was redone at that time with new crank, rods and pistons from Wiseco (first overbore).
Has done only 1500 km since rebuild and starts, runs and rides perfectly.

MODEL HISTORY : 1974 Kawasaki H2B 750cc Mach IV
Introduced in 1971, the 750CC Kawasaki Triple was outrageous by the standards of the time. It quickly became known as "The King of the Streets, and clearly the fastest stock motorcycle available. A standard, factory produced H2 was able to travel a quarter mile from a standing start in 12.0seconds. Blazing speed was a strong selling point and sales were brisk, but the Mach IV soon developed a bad reputation for serious high speed handling ills and other, less serious quirks.
Kawasaki made many changes to improve the bike and the H2 went through 3 upgrades with the 1975 H2C model being the last of the line. The 1974 H2B had the most significant upgrades and refinements.
Engine changes were made to civilize the performance, increase gas mileage and smoothness.
It developed 71 HP with very robust low and especially mid range torque. H2B models also featured an improved oil injection system. The chassis featured a new oil-based steering damper and a longer swing arm, which improved stability and handling. Styling and color schemes were revised to the most racy and sleek design of the series.
result the H2B is often considered the best of the model run, retaining most of the awesome performance and handling much better than earlier versions.
More than any other model, the Mach IV created Kawasaki's reputation for building extreme motorcycles that had a very sporting character and outstanding performance.
